Each part has an assigned job in the marketing. GHK-Cu is a copper-binding peptide linked to collagen, the protein that helps keep skin firm, and elastin, the protein that helps skin stretch and return to shape. BPC-157 is presented as the tendon, ligament and soft-tissue part. TB-500 is a fragment related to thymosin beta-4 and is presented as the part that helps cells move toward injured tissue during healing.

What has been observed for skin and recovery?

Animal work is where most of the healing observations come from. In animal studies, GHK-Cu sped wound healing and helped repair organs, including less fibrosis in the lungs NPR September 2026 report. A review of GHK-Cu wound work cites Buffoni and colleagues, who reported more elastin in skin and denser collagen cross-links in animal wounds treated with GHK-Cu, and summarizes rodent models with faster wound closure and stronger healed skin Clinical Peptide review.

Human evidence is much narrower. An evidence review found GHK-Cu is the only one of the three with rigorous controlled human data, and those trials tested it only as a cream on skin, for fine lines, firmness and sun-related changes Peptide Science Institute review. That review found no published controlled human injury trials of TB-500, and noted that Phase 2 trials often mentioned in marketing used full-length thymosin beta-4, not the TB-500 fragment.
